Phantasmascope -
Introduction
Phantasmascope, RMIT communication design end of year graduation show, its identity was inspried by the mechanics of Zoetrope, an optical devices that creates animation with the illusion of movements from still frames.
This priciple becomes a metaphorical description of design process, a process built from simple pieces, iterations and returns. Circular motion reflects how practice of deisgn has been unfold and returning overtime, its always means come back and reflect, then repeat.
In this project, I contributed with administation works, task and timeline settings and coordinate with students, meanwhile graphic design and printing press material for the show, curation and set up the exhibition.
This category works by centering designer’s intention, each project is understood by what it’s trying to response, by doing so, it reveals something more personal and invite everyone to reflect: what each other cares about, what they drawn to, and what kind of deisnger they would like to be.
